  • The Scotchsicle

    Ingredients:
    2 oz Glenrothes Select Reserve
    1 oz Combier Orange Liqueur
    3/4 oz vanilla syrup
    3/4 oz orange juice

    Directions:
    Shake and strain neat into a cocktail glass, garnish with a light dusting of powdered cinnamon.

    Ingredients:
    1 part Canadian Club 6 Year Old
    1 part Dubonnet Rouge
    Orange peel, garnish

    Directions:

    1 part Harvey’s Bristol Cream
    2 parts Canadian Club 6 Year Old
    2 dashes Orange Bitters
    Maraschino cherry for garnish

    Shake Harvey’s Bristol Cream, Canadian Club and bitters with ice. Strain over fresh ice into a lowball (rocks) glass. Garnish with maraschino cherry.

  • Lucky’s Manhattan

    Inspired by HBO’s Boardwalk Empire and the Lucky Luciano character played by Vincent Piazza. The cocktail combines Basil Hayden’s warm and spicy Super-Premium bourbon with sweet maple syrup and a cherry for a wonderful libation to enjoy during the show!

    Ingredients:
    1½ parts Basil Hayden’s Bourbon
    ½ part sweet vermouth
    ½ part dry vermouth
    ½ part maple syrup

    Inspired by Cynar, I concocted this after-dinner variation on the Manhattan cocktail.

    Cynar is a bitter liqueur made from artichokes and herbs, so this has a little bit of a vegetal flavor you don’t normally find in a Manhattan. It’s a digestif, meaning you drink it after a meal.
