  • Easter Sangria

Our friends over at Voga recently sent us some fun recipes for Easter.  This one really resonated!  I am a really big fan of wine based cocktails, punches and Moscato.  The Easter Sangria combines all three.  Plus, you get the added bonus of being able to wow your friends and relatives with that punch bowl your grandma gave you.  I grew up in the Midwest and no self respecting woman would be caught dead on … Read more

  • Berry Cobbler

We went to a very berry event last night hosted by Driscoll Berries. It was an interesting evening of cooking lessons and food photography all centered around blackberries. During the course of the evening, I sat next to one of the folks from Driscoll and learned a ton about berries. I had never really thought of it before but berries, like grapes, are “terroir” based and reflect the impact of their surroundings. It totally makes … Read more

  • Berry Scary Sour

This tasty Halloween cocktail may look a little complicated to make, thanks to the foam top. However, it’s not much of a challenge and the extra texture looks great for Halloween. Spooky!

This recipe was developed for Belvedere IX, which is flavored with a variety of herbs and fruit. You could experiment with this same recipe using your favorite infusion. (Perhaps something DIY from our book!)

I suggest you take the extra time to make your own orgeat, using our recipe. However, you can also use a well-made orgeat by Small Hand Foods, Okole Maluna or your favorite ingredient … Read more

I was at a dinner party and it was cocktail time. Someone suggested mixing tarragon with the garden-fresh strawberries we had available, and a new, delicious cocktail was born.
